Lessons are taught one-to-one. The number of lessons you take can be discussed at your first lesson and depend on what you would like to do. With gentle hands-on guidance and explanation I will help you find ease and balance in simple movements and everyday activities.
With verbal and hands-on feedback, over time you will learn to observe yourself and be much more aware of how you are using your body. This will help you change long-standing habitual patterns of movement, and to function more efficiently.
The lesson may also include you lying down in the classic Alexander Technique active rest position, allowing you to release and lengthen whilst your back is fully supported.
Clients report major changes after just a few lessons, as the principles of the Alexander Technique bring a new awareness and poise to everything they do.
